Alma & Frederik- the Swedish couple who decided to celebrate love despite the pandemic

Despite the pandemic, Alma and Frederik were very “determined to carry out the wedding, as long as it was allowed". "Of course it was special to plan during this year, but we felt that it was important to celebrate love now more than ever”, says the bride. The two lovebirds have known each other for many years, with the first text Frederik got from Alma, being when she was 18 years old. Though, they started dating only 5 years later, but things “went pretty fast” until Frederik proposed on his 30th birthday in Mauritius.
The rustic wedding took place in a “magical room inside a fortress with arches and whitewashed limestone walls”. The couple wanted a warm event that would feel both grand and down to earth at the same time. Beige linen tablecloths, vintage porcelain, and burgundy candles were used for the table setting. “It was important to me that everything felt like us and that our style was expressed in several different things”, says the bride.
The couple rented most deco details and Alma recommends renting instead of buying, as it is sustainable both in terms of budget and environment.

Alma wore one of Zoe Rowyn Bridal’s signature gowns- the Vivienne dress.
“When I started looking at dresses, I felt quite immediately that I really want to feel like myself (....). When Zoe Rowyn appeared on my instagram, I immediately fell for the style and feel of the dresses. Vivienne felt like me one hundred percent and then there was not much to think about. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience and the team at Zoe Rowyn was so helpful. Quick, committed answers and even though I did not buy the dress in a physical store, I felt that I got an even better contact and personal service than usual. It was also so cozy that we could keep in touch through social media, I could easily ask if there was something I was wondering about. I did not want to "ruin" the dress with anything, so I styled it with a simple low ponytail and large earrings from my favorite Swedish jewelry brand- Cornelia Webb".
