Caitlin & Colin
"This crazy year got us back to what a wedding is all about, two people making a commitment to love and spend the rest of their lives together."
Colin and Caitlin met in St. Louis in high school and have been together for over 10 years before Colin proposed. The couple initially planned a big New Year’s Eve wedding, but the pandemic made them change the plan completely.
“We still wanted to get married this year and did not feel comfortable having the large wedding we planned due to covid. We decided that we would get married while the weather was still warm and we could spend time outside. In 4 weeks, we planned a small family wedding, with our 11 immediate family members in Maine. It was wonderful. It was not an easy decision to make but in the end are very glad we did.”- Caitlin
The couple got married in a coastal town in Maine in a renovated 1790s farmhouse. The ceremony was at a nearby chapel followed by an evening in the house.
Caitlin wore our gorgeous Helen dress.
“Once we confirmed the date in early October, I had less than 4 weeks to find a dress. I was looking for a timeless dress with sleeves and a bit of a statement. I love to dress up and get dolled up but wanted to be comfortable and still look like myself. I found Zoe Rowyn and could not believe they could make me a dress on my extremely tight timeline. Not only did I get a dress but a custom fit dress, they accommodated changes I requested via video call and it arrived on time— beautifully packaged, with a monogram garment bag the week before our wedding.”
The bride accessorised with her now sister-in-law’s veil, which she had made for her own wedding. It was embellished with pearls around the face and throughout the cathedral length veil.
Despite the stress leading up to the replanned wedding day, Caitlin says she has no regrets. “This crazy year got us back to what a wedding is all about, two people making a commitment to love and spend the rest of their lives together.”
The couple had the amazing photographer Jamie Mercurio capture these beautiful photos.
